Teaching Capabilities; Kouyou Fuuin Clan Chakra & Markings are required to perform most techniques. If not in the special clan, the technique is just about exactly similar to the original, Kai, only being able to release a higher level of chakra.

Abilities; Kaihou has one similar technique as the Jutsu known as Kai, " Release ", which is what it was based off of. Kaihou meaning Liberation, is used in Many different ways, especially by the members of the Kouyou Fuuin.

Releasing Chakra { Activate }

Kaihou can be used to release the chakra of the Wheeled Trisklelion marking. The user must place one hand on the marking while the other performs a quick set of handseals, causing a Small amount of chakra to flow - Threw the other Palm resting on the marking - and to quickly be released. Quickly isn't even the word to decribe it, the chakra flows threw so fast, it releases the requested " Chakra Container " on contact. In other words, it's as if it's Forced open by Chakra. Each " Container ", is released with a different set of handseals.

Genjutsu Release { Illusion Liberation }

After performing the required hand seals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. If by chance the individual is already caught in the Genjutsu, aslong as the user is capable of performing the quick hand seals, Kaihou will capable of releasing a high A rank Genjutsu IF the user posesses the Kouyou clan's markings due to it's Immediate response to hand seals. Otherwise, it can only release up to B rank. The user can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the Genjutsu.

Barrier // Surface Release { Chakra Covering Technique }

Can only be performed by the members of the Kouyou Fuuin clan. The Individual must perform a long set of seals, 10 seals to be exact then place both palms quickly onto the Surface, Barrier or Etc. , causing a Huge Amount of chakra to spread out, Almost as if it was an Explosion covering as much as possible. { Huge amount of chakra meaning 1/4 of the User's entire chakra amount } The " Covering " takes about 5-15 seconds, Depending on the Size of the Surface or Barrier, then completely covering it. This process happens without a single sound, making it hard to notice unless the opponent is capable of Viewing Chakra or being able to sense it in the surrounding area. Once completely covered, the user then has complete control over it. There are 3 Possible actions once it's covered.

1 - The user can perform a quick handseal, causing the Entire Barrier to Explode. This can only happen if the barrier is made of Basic Chakra or a low Element Natured chakra due to the technique's limited power.

2 - Create a Passage threw the barrier. The user can place their hand on a certain area then perform a single handed seal, causing all of the chakra which covered the entire surface, to retract to that one point causing an " Overload ". In other words, Around 5 ft in lenght , 10 ft in height and a width { Thickness } of Maximum 3 ft. If the width isn't too deep, then the chakra will be able to retract and littrally Explode, causing a simple passage of Around the mesurements given. Using this technique, it can overcome any Basic Chakra, Element Natured Chakra & possibly a very low leveled Kekkei Genkai Chakra considering the explosion is Extremely powerful due to the Sealing Chakra.

3 - " Eat Away " part of the barrier. This is only used if the barrier is Extremely Thick and has a size which is unable to be overcome. By performing a seal, the " Sealing " Chakra will very slowly consume the chakra, as if it's eating away part of it bit by bit, layer by layer, taking time. This usually causes the barrier or surface to lose a foot in width, making it much easier to break or overcome by performing the Chakra Covering technique a second time. It's unknown what level of power this technique can overcome but due to the Clan's special Ability , it can most likely only take over any Basic Chakra & Element Natured Chakra.

These Techniques are very limited. Most can Easily overcome a small Size barrier to a decent sized barrier // Decent Leveled Genjutsu to High Level Genjutsu but it always depends on the opponent's chakra level // Chakra type // Barrier Type & Element // Genjutsu Technique // Etc. Mainly only Main Branch members can perform most of these techniques aslong as they have a full " Chakra Gauge ".


History; These Techniques were long ago developed by the past leader of the Kouyou clan. Once the clan was seperated & Rhya's parents were killed, the base was left un-attended. The young 12 year old Rhya went snooping around and discovered a Scroll listing " Liberation Techniques ". Due to her young age, she had no idea what it meant so she simply kept them tucked away in her closet. Recently, she discovered them, being able to finally understand them and she began immediately training with these special techniques.
